Traveling in a way that helps places thrive.

At Malambo, we don’t believe in simply sustaining a place—we believe in helping it flourish.

While sustainable tourism focuses on minimising harm, regenerative tourism focuses on creating positive impact.

It asks not only “How can we avoid damage?” but “How can we restore, nourish, and strengthen the community, culture, and ecosystems of this island?”

Regeneration means leaving a place better than you found it.

It means honouring the land and the people who have shaped it long before visitors ever arrived.

It means travel that supports livelihoods, restores ecosystems, uplifts culture, and creates long-term wellbeing.

At Malambo, we work hand-in-hand with local partners, community leaders, and island organisations to create programs that support both people and planet.

Here are the initiatives that form the heart of our regenerative mission.

Guardians for the Blue

Raising a new generation of ocean protectors.

In partnership with Camiguin Freediving, Guardians for the Blue introduces local children to the ocean—not as an unfamiliar place, but as a home to protect and care for.

We teach young islanders how to:

• Swim and feel safe in the water
• Snorkel and explore their reefs
• Understand marine life and ecosystems
• Become ocean guardians for their communities

For many children, this is their very first experience of swimming in the sea they’ve lived beside their whole lives.

It’s a powerful, heart-opening program that ripples far beyond the water.

Tabo Ta! Baylo Ta!

A quarterly full moon community market.

Every few months, Malambo hosts Tabo Ta! Baylo Ta!—a community gathering rooted in abundance, creativity, and local connection.

You’ll find:

• Fresh produce
• Local arts and handmade crafts
• Community talks
• Food, music, and stories
• A space for exchanging skills, ideas, and gifts

It’s a celebration of Camiguin’s soul—a place for locals, travellers, artists, and dreamers to meet.

A reminder that thriving happens together.

Co-create your future

Imagining what’s possible—together.

This community workshop invites participants to reflect on their personal journeys, explore shared visions, and design hopeful futures for themselves and their families.

Through conversation, storytelling, and creative collaboration, local residents are encouraged to imagine new possibilities—beyond limitations, beyond fear, beyond the familiar

Because thriving communities begin with empowered individuals.

Kinaiyahan sa Camiguin

Honouring the roots of the island.

“Kinaiyahan” speaks of nature, origin, and essence.

In partnership with Nagpakabana MPC, this program reconnects locals and visitors to the traditional heart of Camiguin.

The experience includes:
• A guided local farm tour
• Learning from the farmers who cultivate the land
• Harvesting your own vegetables
• Returning to Malambo to cook a local meal together

It’s a grounding reminder of where food comes from, how culture is shaped, and how deeply Camiguin’s identity is tied to its soil.

Regeneration is not a project.

It’s a relationship—one built on respect, reciprocity, and shared growth.

Through these initiatives, Malambo hopes to honour Camiguin’s past, uplift its present, and help nurture its future.

Travel that regenerates.

Community that thrives.

A place that grows because we care.
